Thank you for signing up as a beta tester for Section 8. Your role and the feedback you give us is of vital importance; we will listen to you, work with you, and with your help, create a game that will fulfill our goal to deliver an incredible, rewarding, and addictive shooter experience.
It’s lofty talk and you’ve heard it all before, but we believe we have something incredibly special in Section 8. We’ve removed the predictability in multiplayer games with burning-in (no more spawn-camping!) and Dynamic Combat Missions (DCMs), meaning the flow of battle is never predetermined. We’ve also given you the freedom to choose your role on the battlefield, allowing you to tactically “loadout” on weapons and gear. Want to be a lightweight sprinting sniper? No problem. How about a slower, but powerful heavyweight death machine? All yours.
We’ve been hard at work on Section 8 for the past few years; constantly reviewing and implementing new ideas to deliver an innovative and exciting shooter experience. We’re thrilled to have you onboard now as we head towards launch, and can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
More details are on their way as we roll out the first wave of invites for testing that is scheduled to begin in early Summer. Our first wave of testers will be selected by PC system specs and other criteria—more on that soon.
Selected participants will also be contacted to sign-up for the Beta Test forums, where you will be able to talk with your fellow testers and TimeGate’s Section 8 development team.
Should you be selected, please remember that your participation as a beta tester will be covered by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This means that you cannot discuss Section 8 with others except in the official closed beta forums. Sadly, the NDA means that we can only accept testers aged 18 and older until we reach the open beta phase.
